Children attend the church service until approximately 10:30, leaving during the second hymn. They are then escorted by the Christian Education Director and Church School Teachers to the Marsh Parish House, which is located behind the church, for their classroom lessons.

PreK-2nd grades and 3rd – 6th grades– Each class is designed to work with in the child’s writing and reading comprehension level while learning the basic stories from the Old and New Testaments through story time, crafts, games, songs and even acting out the story. Water and a light snack are provided. Church school ends at 11:15am. Your child will be escorted back to Fellowship Hall.

6th grade and older begin their Sunday at 9am at a local restaurant. This is chaperoned by our middle school teachers. A generous donation funds the purchases. This is a time of food, fellowship and weekly reflection. At 9:45am the class walks to the church together, escorted by the teachers. They meet in the Chapel of the church building to hear their daily lesson, which is based from the morning’s scripture reading using various tools and pages from the internet. At 10:30am they transition to the sanctuary to be ready to listen to the sermon.

We have one Communion Service the first Sunday each month.  Every age is welcome to our table.  Communion is served to each person in their pew by a Deacon.

Throughout the church school year the children have opportunities to “perform” for the congregation though songs, skits and during our end-of-the-year Children’s Service held the 2nd Sunday of June.

Bibles are given to our 3rd grade students each September and to new students 3rd grade and older as they enter the church school program.
