Maundy Thursday, April 2, 7pm

Maundy Thursday is one of the most holy and solemn nights of the Christian year. This service includes communion, which is open to all, as we remember Jesus’ last supper with his disciples. On this night we remember Jesus’ last hours, we go with him to the garden of Gethsemane, and walk with him as he is arrested and taken to be crucified. The service begins in light and moves slowly into darkness as the story of that last night is read and we leave in silence and darkness to await the coming of dawn on Easter morning.   All are welcome.

Good Friday Faith Walk, April 3, Noon

Local pastors and church members joine together on this solemn day to walk the stations of the cross on the town green.  The walk will begin at the steps of the First Congregational Church at noon. Those gathered will walk and carry a wooden cross remembering the long walk that Jesus took to the cross. Stopping at stations around the green the story will be read accompanied by prayer and song.  The walk will end on the steps of St. John’s Episcopal Church.   All are welcome to join this ecumenical witness of Christian faith on this holy day.
